16th Annual – Berrien County 4-H Leaders – Open Fun Show

(Entry office opens at 7:00 a.m.)

4-H RULES APPLY, including HELMETS ~ EXHIBITOR’S AGE AS OF JANUARY 1, 2017 ~ NO SHOW CLOTHES ~ NO CHAPS

 ATTENTION:  There can be no shavings, manure or trash left on the ground when you leave.

Stalls – $20, Electric hook-up is available for the day for $20, pay fees at entry booth for cord and/or stall tag.

PROOF OF NEGATIVE COGGINS, PER CURRENT MICHIGAN LAW, REQUIRED TO ENTER THE SHOW GROUNDS.

This is an open schooling & fun show.  You learn by doing, and have fun with your horses and your friends.

COACHING from the rail is strongly encouraged.   2017 BCYF patterns will be used whenever possible (bcyf.org)

 Jeans and breeches are acceptable.  Boots with a heel required in ALL riding classes.  Half Chaps are acceptable.

NO FLIP-FLOPS! NO MUCK BOOTS!  NO TENNIS SHOES! Those with unsafe attire will be required to change or asked to leave with no refund given.  Keep your show saddles clean – working tack encouraged in all classes

IF YOU ARE AGE 18 AND UNDER on January 1st – YOU ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN ASTM/SEI RIDING HELMET

IN ALL: HUNT SEAT, OVER FENCES, DRIVING AND GYMKHANA CLASSES.

ALL YOUTH 9 & UNDER ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR AN ASTM/SEI HELMET AT ALL TIMES WHEN MOUNTED

**LOOK MOM**  No banding, no braiding, no bathing!! J  Just give your horse a good brushing!!  **LOOK DAD**

 All classes $5.00, unless otherwise stated.  Awards for 1st-6th place

NO refunds will be given for any reason. Office fee:  $2.00 per Horse/Exhibitor combination.

 An adult is encouraged to accompany (not lead) all Pee Wees into and remain in the ring.

Any class may be cancelled (with refund) split, combined or added at the discretion of the show committee.  Proceeds from this show go toward furthering the Berrien County 4-H Equine educational program.  All patterns, tests, Gymkhana rules, etc. will be posted or available at the entry booth for a minimum of one-half hour before the class.

Adult (18 and over) spotters are allowed in all W/T riding classes.  W/T participants may not enter any W/T/C classes.

ALL exhibitors are strongly encouraged to wear ASTM/SEI approved safety helmets at all times when mounted.  All the Jumping, Dressage and Trail classes will be held during the main show, but in separate arenas.

We do the very best we can to help, but the exhibitor is responsible for keeping track of when your classes are running.  Class calls from the announcers may only be available for the main arena.  All dogs must be leashed.

 ABUSE OF ANY ANIMAL WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
