Dog Department

As of March 1, 2022 all canine vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian and valid proof (signed certificate) from veterinarian must be provided on Entry Day. Exception to this ruling will be if the canine immunizations were administered by someone other than a licensed veterinarian (excluding rabies) prior to March 1^st 2022 and the canine is not due for the next immunizations for 3 years from the date administered. The exhibitor must show valid proof of the date of injections, the label, sticker, or the bottle itself of the vaccine on Entry Day.  Canine, regardless of age, is required to have received the following immunizations: Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvovirus. On Entry Day the exhibitor must provide a rabies certificate, as well as a DHP certificate (unless exempt by the March 1^st, 2022, ruling) signed by a licensed veterinarian as proof that canine received said immunizations. One-year (1) vaccinations for a canine, ages six (6) months to eighteen (18) months, is acceptable if administered on or before July first (1^st). For canine that is nineteen (19) months and older, three (3) year immunizations are acceptable if administered on or before July first (1^st). Bordetella, Influenza, Lyme’s, and Leptospirosis are recommended but optional.

TR Exhibitor ages 5 – 20 (Age as of Jan. 1, of current year)

NTR Exhibitor ages 5 – 26 (Age as of Jan. 1 of current year)
All dogs must be at least 6 months of age as of August 1^st of current year.

Canine ownership-TR Exhibitor dogs must be owned by the Exhibitor, his/her parent, guardian or immediate family member.  TR Exhibitor shall care for and train the dog(s).  NTR Exhibitor may own the dog, or may register a Volunteer Team Dog with whom he/she has been training with, along with a Team Instructor, for at least eight (8) weeks prior to exhibition.  (Refer to the NTR OB and NTR AG Judging rules and regulations)

Identification:  All dogs must have current photo, 2 photos, one front view and side view or tattoo number. Each photograph shall be labeled with the Exhibitor’s BCYF ID number, dog’s name, age, breed, sex and if altered or not.   Must be turned in with registration or entry will not be accepted.  If enter on line, upload picture there or email  picture by July 1 to entry@bcyf.org
