I purchased tickets for a show in the grandstand for the 2020 BCYF – what happens now?
Our Entertainment committee is working with our booking agent to try to reschedule our shows for 2021. We hope to confirm the shows soon and will send an email to all ticket holders. If you did not give us an email address when you purchased your ticket, please call the fair office at 269-473-4251 and provide us with an email address.
I am a commercial exhibitor or food concessionaire and have paid a deposit for 2020 – how will the deposit be handled?
Since the 2020 BCYF is postponed until 2021, all deposits will be rolled over to 2021.
I paid for my 2020 exhibitor campsite by March 1, 2020 – does this reserve my campsite for 2021?
Yes, since the 2020 BCYF is postponed until 2021, your exhibitor campsite will be reserved for 2021. If you wish to get a refund, you will lose your campsite for 2021.
When will the available exhibitor campsites be sold?
A very limited number of exhibitor campsites were not renewed for 2020 – since BCYF has been postponed until 2021, those exhibitor campsites will be available on May 1, 2021. The date for the lottery will be set in June of 2021.
If I am 20 years old as of January 1, 2020, will I be able to exhibit at the 2021 BCYF?
Yes, you will be able to exhibit at the 2021 BCYF as well as at the Berrien County 2020 Showcase – Where Youth are Essential.
Who can apply for the 2020 Outstanding 20 year old award and scholarship?
Any youth exhibitor who is 20 years old on January 1, 2020 may apply for the 2020 Outstanding Exhibitor award and scholarship. Applications will be available at the fair office and due by October 1, 2020. Since the 2020 BCYF is postponed until 2021, the application will be based on the exhibitor’s participation in BCYF from 2014 through 2019. Although 2020 20 year olds will be able to participate in the 2021 BCYF – they must apply for the Outstanding 20 year old award and scholarship in 2020 to be awarded at the Berrien County Youth Fair Association, Inc. annual meeting on October 24, 2020.
Will there by a 2020 Royalty Contest?
No, since the 2020 BCYF is postponed until 2021, there will not be any royalty crowned for 2020.
I purchased tickets for the 75th Anniversary Celebration – has it been rescheduled?
Yes, the 75th Anniversary Celebration has been rescheduled to March 20, 2021 to be held at the Mendel Center. Your tickets will be good for next year. If you are unable to attend on March 20, 2021, please consider donating your ticket cost back the BCYF, please call the fair office (269-473-4251).
I purchased a decade t-shirt for the 75th Anniversary – when can I pick it up at the fair office?
Since our 75th Anniversary BCYF is postponed until 2021, we will continue to sell the decade t-shirts until May 1, 2021. The t-shirts will be available at the fair office after July 4, 2021.
Since 75th Anniversary BCYF in 2020 has been postponed – when will details of the Berrien County 2020 Showcase – Where Youth are Essential be available?
BCYF Board of Directors and exhibit area committees are working on the details of each exhibit area’s show. Showcase dates are set for August 15-23, 2020.
